GET TO THE ROOT /ro͞ot/

Updated: Jan 30, 2023

What does that even mean?

When you are actively improving yourself, which usually means you are on a journey of healing through past trauma, difficult situations, breakups, an argument, you must find the root of the cause. Where it all began. Pinpointing the root allows you to address where the issue began and take steps to fix or accept the situation in order to heal and move forward.

By Definition

Root as a noun, is the part of a plant which attaches it to the ground or to a support, typically underground, conveying water and nourishment to the rest of the plant via numerous branches and fibers.

Root is the basic cause, source, or origin of something. It sounds to me as though the root is the most important aspect of LIFE. This may come off as extreme, but its simple truth. If some thing or one is hurting you, you find out first when or how it started. If some thing is successful, you dig into how it achieved the success by researching the beginning of the success, the root. The cause to the effect; the source of the creation.

Root as a verb. Action!

Root is also the cause ( a plant or cutting) to grow roots. Root is to establish deeply and firmly. In order for us to work on our wellbeing, we must understand our roots. We have to look at those first aspects of what made us who we are. Know who we are. We start at the root and work our way up in becoming a balanced wellbeing. What ever that looks and feels like for you.

My Why

It matters to me

Like many, I've had my share of ups and downs. For many years, I was not concerned about my wellbeing. I honestly did not worry about what I was doing to my mind, body or spirit. It took me getting to "rock bottom" to see what I was doing to myself. I can say I had to be true to what happened in my life, see the roots of my issues and decide to do something about it. My wellbeing mattered to me. Your wellbeing matters to me.

Lets Bloom

The best thing about getting to the root is knowing when you water it, it'll grow!
